The food here was excellent! Extremely flavorful. Came here for dinner on a weekday kind of on a whim and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, the friendly service, the drinks, and most of all the food. I got a maple bourbon cocktail which was quite excellent and full of flavor. They had a great selection of drinks overall. One of are party was vegetarian and they were kind enough to make the bacon Brussels sprouts vegetarian and the tacos veggie as well. We ordered spinach Adip for the table and I think it might be the best spinach dip I've ever had! For my main I had the special which was a tortellini pasta with bolognese sauce with ricotta. It was fantastic and truly special. Everyone loved their food! It looks like they have a great brunch too, and I will definitely be checking it out.

Edit: came here for brunch as well! Had an excellent bellini w salmon Benedict

Decided not to book a venue for my wedding reception here with Paula for very many reasons. She offered 160 dollar per person which included ceremony, open bar cocktail hour downstairs, cake , all the decors, etc. Sounded good but I told her I don't need ceremony ( since mine is at church) and open bar that comes with the package. I asked her if she can adjust the price according to only things I need. I wasn't asking her huge price adjustment but only few dollars per person because it doesn't make sense to pay for whole thing when I don't need half the things she offered. She didn't get back to me for almost two weeks, then she said I'll have to start late because the time I wanted was "peak" time for Saturday and she wants to have a shower or another event before me. so I told her, sure that I am willing to start late.  I changed my time 5 to 6:30 pm as my start time.

Few days later, she told me I'll have to do family style dinner since her restaurant is busy during my time. For over $150 per person venue, I definitely wanted to do a seated dinner style which is more formal. Also I understand her kitchen is busy but isn't it her job to make it work if she has an event that day? I expressed that I wanted seated dinner for sure. Then she said since its a busy time for the restaurant, she can't let us have cocktail hour downstairs (which comes with the package). She added it would be over 5k just for the cocktail hour since I need to buy the whole bar for the evening. I told her that's not what you offered in the package but I am willing to have cocktail hour upstairs where my reception would be. I was willing to communicate everything with her and negotiate how things should be done. I agreed on late start time, i agreed on cocktail hour upstairs. Did she keep taking things out because I asked for price change?? If so, she could've been open with me and said price adjustment is not allowed so I dont waste my time emailing back and forth. Then she emailed me saying " cake and flowers " are not included in my venue.  I was so upset at this point.  Its not like she adjusted my price from 160 to 120 or anything even close to that. She expressed that she'll have to stay around 160 per person for the whole package and I told her even-though its a bit over budget for us, we are willing to work with her. The whole time I emailed her back and forth, I felt like she didn't care about my event just because I asked for price adjustment for only the things I need. She didn't email me for weeks, asked me to change time, cocktail hour location, style of dinner. She kept saying " its really busy at the restaurant" and " the month you want to have your venue is in high demand for this room" i felt pressured, and unimportant.  My total cost for the venue was over $6500 dollars and she still sounded like I was less important than others. She sounded very arrogant in her email as if I am begging her for the venue. I did love her style of venue, but that was the last one for me.

Another reason is parking is a mess. I am inviting 40 people and theres no parking near the restaurant on saturday evenings. Ive been to this place on saturday nights to check out the parking and it was impossible.

I understand her venue is in high demand but I hope she doesn't treat people like this.
I booked a venue somewhere else and I am much happier

    Update
Its been few months since this happened and Paula reached out after I wrote honest review. She said she apologize for making me feel not important blah blah
She asked me for my home address saying she wants to send me some cookies and a gift card for her restaurant. I said no.
Cookies and gift card will not make up for what she said/ how she treated me. I don't think she wouldve ever reached out if I did not write a review.

This would be a 4.5 stars if Yelp would allow that.
It is a lot of fun even getting to the restaurant, as you need to descend down to the Hudson River off the route 9 with a few of really sharp turns and some narrow streets.
The restaurant is definitely popular and was full all the time we were there.
The drinks and wine list is not very long. I wanted to have a glass of wine, but after tasting four different wines I couldn't find anything decent, so went with a cocktail - Margarita Picante, which was not bad, but really tiny, and not as spicy as I would prefer seeing jalapeño as one of the ingredients.
I had seared scallops as my dish, which was very well executed, perfect sear on the scallops, served with a very tasty German potato salad.
We looked at the dessert menu, but nothing really jumped as unique and interested, so we decided to skip the dessert.
Service was excellent - friendly, attentive, prompt and helpful.
    Recommended.

I went to 14 & Hudson Kitchen and Bar for lunch and ordered the Smoked Salmon Benedict. The smoked salmon was very tasty and the poached eggs on top were nice and runny. The English muffins were soft enough to cut easily and had a nice flavor that complimented the other parts of the dish. There was also a small salad on the side of the plate with a few watermelon cubes, which were a refreshing touch. This dish was $21, which is a little more than I think it is.

I would describe the atmosphere as being between classy and casual. In addition to the inside seating, there are a few outdoor tables, though those are intended for groups of 5-6 people. The service speed was a bit slow, but the waiters were friendly.

Overall, 14 & Hudson is a great place for brunch in Piermont within walking distance of the pier. I would recommend it for pretty much any type of occasion in terms of formality and in terms of the size of group that you're dining with.

Went for brunch a few weeks ago. Food was great but service was a little slow BUT it seemed as if our server may have been triple sat so I really can't blame her. We will try agin during a less busy time to really get a feel for the place.
